“Having traveled so far, and sought for so long, this had to be enough.”

- I wanted to include a little bit of the story of this piece. Our pet Kimchi passed away over a year ago, after we had some time to heal and recover we started looking to adopt another pet. We found our new cat, Miso, and as soon as we found him (I hadn’t met him yet) I started painting this. I wanted to have it be a crossover from Kimchi to Miso, The large creature is based on Miso, but shares inspiration from Kimchi’s eyes. I think i had a hard time letting this go as in part it feels like letting go of Kimchi just a bit more, but we also have our lovely new member of the family, Miso. I’m so happy to have had the chance to know them both, and this painting honors them both.
